Friends of the Bullard Library are a group of volunteers dedicated to the support of Bullard Community Library through both educational programs and fund-raising efforts. The primary fund-raising projects planned by the Friends are the annual Golf Tournament at Eagle's Bluff and the used book sales. They also assist with landscaping for the library, recycling projects at the library, children's Summer Reading Club, and elsewhere as needed by the Library.
The Friends of Bullard Community Library meet monthly on the third Tuesday of the month, or more frequently as events require. The meetings begin at 10 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Bullard. All interested persons are invited.
Be a Friend @ your Library! It's an excellent way to show your support of the library, and it's fun! Come and help the Friends as they plan activities and events to help raise funds for the future of Bullard Community Library. The Friends of the Library are now overseeing the sale of all used books. Come see their expanded area and browse for something new and titillating or a favorite author.
Friends Bookstore
Greetings to all you Faithful Friends of the Bullard Community Library!! This is a unique request for ideas (and volunteers) to help your local library, by spreading the word about our Used Book Store! Besides our regular donations which we gratefully receive, we have also been bestowed with many stacks of great books - both hardback and over-sized paperbacks - which have been removed from the Library circulation to make room for more recent publications. While these books were removed due to inactivity (checkout) within the last five years - they are high quality novels (fiction) - and are great buys at $1.50 for hardbacks, and $1.00 for over-sized paperbacks.
In addition, we are stocked to the max with our regular-sized paperbacks! We do realize many people now use Kindles, etc. -- but you can't beat the quality and prices of these REAL BOOKS at the Friends Bookstore!
Hope to hear from you soon - your ideas, your assistance, or your book purchases!
We all are grateful for your active participation as a FRIEND OF THE BULLARD COMMUNITY LIBRARY!
